Gonarezhou National Park is a large national park in the southern African country of Zimbabwe, located on the border of Zimbabwe’s Masvingo Province in the southeast and Mozambique. It was established in 1975 and covers an area of 5,053 square kilometers, making it one of the most popular national parks in Zimbabwe.
Gonarezhou National Park is the second largest wildlife conservation area in Zimbabwe, second only to Hwange National Park. Due to its vast expanse and large areas of pristine grasslands, it has become a favored destination for observing wildlife in Zimbabwe. One of the park’s main features is that all wild animals can roam freely within the park, coexisting harmoniously. The park is home to wildlife such as African wild dogs, and in 2010, several special viewing points for African wild dogs were established in the park. Visitors can explore the entire park by special guided tours, where the beauty of the African savannah unfolds before their eyes, allowing them to see herds of elephants and the fierce African wild dogs.
