Mikumi National Park is one of the top ten national wildlife parks in Tanzania, known for its wide variety of animal species, preserving almost all the mammal species in the country. The park is characterized by lush green mountains, dense shrubs, abundant grasslands, and numerous streams and ponds. Many rare African wildlife species live in this park. The park’s roads are all dirt roads, divided into areas with multiple loops based on the animals’ habits. Here you can find leisurely giraffes, fierce leopards, unimpressive wildebeests, fast zebras, graceful gazelles, and over 300 bird species. Elephants, lions, hippos, rhinos, and more occasionally appear among the grass and forests. Troops of African vervet monkeys frolic and play fearlessly when encountering visitors. The park is well-equipped with tour facilities such as tour vehicles, tent campsites, and lodges for the convenience of visitors.
